This may be off topic,     but:

Is there an ezBoard to YaBB SE converter?

I know this is for SP1.  But I thought this would be the best place to ask.  I'm helping someone put up a new YaBB SE board.

There is a converter for Ezboard for Y1G? If so, it could probably be changed over to work for SE.

Or, you could convert Ezboard to Y1G and then Y1G to SE

I looked last night on the Y1G site and there is not an EZboard convertor nor could one ever be made unless it were to just spider every page.

I remember that someone made one and it worked. I dont know if it was ezboard though. We could easily make it for YSE once we create the regex's for the information.

EZBoard blows.

It has NO features, is crap, and is erm, crap.

Did I mention EZBoard sucks?! The only thing it's good for is for newbies who don't know html or don't have php or mysql on their host servers.

This may be overly complicated for what it would be worth but I know phpbb have an ezboard converter so would it be possible to install phpbb on your server, convert your ezboard into the phpbb, and then use the phpbb > yabb converter to convert your phpbb board (which was created from an ezboard) into a YaBB setup?


Sounds a little crazy to me, but I might give it a try, it'd be cool if it worked.

wow, it's sharkey from Ezboard, now that you don't see everyday.

BTW: Would it be possible to create a program which would sift through a board and create the .sql file online. I downloaded a program called ultrasucker that saved all of the stuff on my board and maybe it would be possible to apply the same principle to a converter. Have one program that sifts through the board, going through the threads and saving the text and who wrote it, and then have it create the .sql file. Then you can set it to create new passwords since I doubt you'd be able to save the passwords.

NOTE: I completely suck at programming, and this is just a what-if kind of statement.
