but now neither board works...

I wanted to continue using the old board until the SE board met my standards, now I am screwed, neither board works the SP 1.1 gets a 500 error and the new board only shows the first page.  My natives are getting restless.

Any ideas.

Did you change file permissions on the old board directory/files in order to make the converter to SE run?

Or maybe you renamed some old board directories or files?

Yes, I changed the permission for it to install, I changed them all back after the install, still no go.  The SE did not suck up the old board correctly, I had to re-install it from scratch and it is turning out to be hopeless.

Probably you did not change back *everything* to the original state. Check the SP 1.1 install instructions and compare the required permissions in detail. Also check the file permissions of the *executables* (YaBB.pl etc.). Also check if you changed anything in your Settings.pl.

If needed you will get help in the http://www.yabbforum.com/community SP 1.1 support board.
