I upgraded a gold board to yabbse. This created 2 news areas. I still have the animated news table or cells from the old gold board as well as the SE news area right under the top menu bar.
It also created an outlined table that everything else sits in that I do rather like. I have installed SE from scratch in another area and can clearly see the differences now, but this hasn't helped me to fix the problem.
I would like to remove the news area that was pulled over from the older gold board. I have compared the 2 template.php files and even the 2 index.php files and am at a total loss. I don't even know if I am looking in the right place.
I consider myself a user and primarily stick to html. I am a little nervous cutting my teeth on this active board.
