dOCda S! put a huge amount of time into that mod for YaBB so its going to take some time before its duplicated for YaBB SE.

Other than what YabbSE comes equipted with for standard features, This changes the IM buttons to align along the bottom of both in and out box screens, it also adds a report to webmaster in the inbox view.  It's more of a cosmetic feature with only one add on function. You could always IM someone to learn what YabbSE handles for it's box features, but it sounds like the CGI Yabb version is much further ahead along the features list. To bad it's a flat file bandwidth host killing hog, that's why I switched to YabbSE.. I lost two hosts because of Yabb CGI.

Yeah, one nice thing about Yabb CGI is the mods and mod support.  Still Yabb SE is way way cool.  Just want to see it become all it can be.

Well the perl version has been around a lot longer. A lot of the mods were written before YaBB SE even had an official release.

Well aware of that, and if there had not been a division of creative ego differences between the two leading teams of each platform, I think YabbSE would of had much more robust features ported from the Yabb Perl development.

Don't the two versions have similar base installs though? Or do you mean dual development of new features?
