MODS Needed Message Sort Order & Thread Summary

I have changed to SE 1.4. from Gold 1.1
A couple of things that I had installed with that was a Message Sort Option and a Thread summary.

I had the Thread summary set a 60 characters and this looked really neat to view.

SE doesn't have either of these and I am surprised especially that there is no sort order, except by date. Both were perfect for my board I'm running. I really need to sort by Thread name at least.

The threads can be sorted in a number of ways. I had it set up to read : Sort by thread name, last comment/reply, number of replies, number of views.

I have tried the Topic summary by "snYpir" but that does not do it and whilst nice and neat I can't see the purpose of it. Sorry "snYpir".

Also I need to be able to move my board shortly how do I move the database?
Is it as easy as copy to my computer then upload to new server, same location, with MySQL activated?
