Help - Post Installation chmod

Hi There,

I have just installed YaBBSE, and all I can say is WOW !
Well, actually I could say a lot more, but some of the words might have to be censored !!

Just a quick question from a newbie, at the end of the installation the installer suggests that you change the directory permissions of the installtion directory from the 777 that it asks you to set it to in the beginning. Can somebody please suggest what this should be set to for security.

666 should be fine, make sure you delete the install.php file as well.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the reply. However, if I chmod the directory to 666 then I get a 403 error. 667 and it works just fine. Have I set something up incorrectly?
