Cool PM feature

hi, a newbee here :p

i just thought up a pm feature that'd be cool to have: automated pm replies.

say if i'm on vacation for a month, or just away for the weekend, and i know someone might be desperate to reach me, i can just set up an away msg for my PM box so whoever pms me, it'll auto replies with an away message.

Would it not be better to display an error message when they try sending you a message?

Like instead of sending an auto response, it would say:

"Sorry the selected user is away. Your message will be responded to as soon as possible."

jip the away messages is quite better!
we use in our board a little script, only to show how many im´s are stored by users, and it´s horrible!

any users are not able to delete the outbox, so they have over 300 im´s stored there.

with autorespond this number will increase very high!

Until not long ago, my forum members knew nothing of the IM settings page, and the outbox etc, so I moved them to the profile page (which has a tabular layout as opposed to the normal one). No problems now
