I too would love this mod, had it for yabb gold, unfortunately, I'm not techie minded.

But if there is a kind person who could write this mod for me/us. I would really appreciate it

There's a mod for enabling a popup alert, but I don't think it includes sound... It shouldn't be that hard to do though;

You might ask Shaun or Chris Cromer about adding the sound.
