Setting users into multiple groups??

Maybe I'm blind, but from what I can see, each user can only belong to one group. I am currently running 1.3, so if an upgrade to 1.4 will resolve this then I will try upgrading again (thats another issue in and of itself). If its not available, are there any mods that do this? I've looked through the forums but couldn't find anything relavent so would like any input here. Thanks!

Currently you can only have one member group. In SE 2 the system for multiple member groups is complete and I'm not sure but there MAY be a MOD out there for this.
