I installed YABBSE and YAPP on my site and all is going well. However I intalled them in my httpdocs folder rather that a YABBSE folder because I want the portal to come up as soon as someone types my domain into their browser.
Unfortunately YABBSE CHOWNs my httpdocs folder so that I can no longer chmod any files or folders. Why is it doing that? Is it YABBSE doing it? I really want to be able to chmod as a expand my site, how do I fix it?

K I figured it out. Because YABBSE creates the files on install it owns then so I can't chmod. This fooled me into thinking it chowned the folder.  :-[

you can always do the safe-mode setup that way you have control over the files still.
