View all private messages

Has the mod been developed yet that the admin can view all the members private messages??

I used to run PHPBB and it had that mod I am wondering if YABBSE has that, I would really like to have that one, it was nice.

This would have moral issues however - what if they didn't want you to see what they were saying in their IMs? It's like you having access to their email, post, phone calls, etc. Controversial

If you know anything about PHPMYADMIN you can go into your YABBSE database and view them anyway, so what would the difference be?

It would just make things easier, I would not be using it for the spying aspect, I would be using it for the security aspect.  But no problem, if you all wanna be babies about it

Doing this as a mod would let ANY admin see your instant messages, not just those who have the knowledge to use phpMyAdmin and other similar tools.

not neccessarily, you could make access only for the user with an ID of 1. ie. the first admin - not neet but there you go!

That's not the point I'm making

Some YaBB SE users can quite easily install the software following the installation instructions, yet never touch phpMyAdmin. So they would never have seen the instant messages. Gah, can't be bothered to explain my opinion - I'm tired. I get your point that there's already a way to do it, but not everyone knows how to access that. Ah well.
