Sorting Topic Mod

I think it's possible to sort the topic posted in each board for example :: sort topic by starter (A-Z, # whatever) or sort topic by the date it was started, or whatever it is. I think I have to look more about it. I really need this mod and I'm currently studying php too. I need help though.
