Image Gallery Board or Catagory

I've been looking for a Gallery that was 1/10 as cool as YaBBSE. I've found lots of galleries. None come close to YaBB for easy setup and usability. Here's hoping A MOD could be written to turn a Board into a gallery where the topic thread would show a thumbnail and opening the topic would open the image and allow visitors to comment and maybe even rate the images as replies to the original message.

It wouldn't necassarily need to generate thumbnails, the users could be asked to upload the nail with the image. (Some people prefer that any way)

Take a look at www.spymac.com.  They have done a very good job of integrating a gallery and may be willing to provide some insight into what needs to be done.
