I am working on a converter.  I wanted to know if you think that I should convert phpbb2 smilies to yse smilies.

Personally I'd say don't break your back over it - I'd focus on the messages and members primarily.  But if you have time, it'd be nice.

ok.. this is going to b a PITA so I will wait on that.  I haven't looked at how phpbb2 creates passwords but I know that yse & phpbb don't use the same method.  I need some way to get the passwords to work ???

You could just force users to redefine their passwords - or write a script that randomly generates new passwords and mails them out.

Use the same method YaBB generates random passwords and send them out with the mail function already in the subs
