Make it soo U can make admins and take off some abilities for them.

Make it soo you can choose templates from a list, and see a little preview of them, like avatars..

If anyone else got suggestions, post here.

Suggestion for next major revision.  Put less HTML hard-coded into the PHP modules.  I upgraded from Y1G to SE and had to hack into many of the modules to make the new SE board look like the one it was replacing.

This makes minor upgrades a pain which in turns means that minor revisions won't be applied or installed at all.

luisr, it uses the same templates as Y1G...unless you made some source code changes before...

The template was imported from Y1G.  In that version I only made minor changes to the source code itself, dealing only with colors and CSS stuff.

But the SE version changed many details in things not controlled by the template such as the structure of many tables.  When I installed SE and converted the old board it looked so different (not to mention many things looked odd) that I had to postpone the re-launching of the board for several days while I went through every single screen to make things look the way they did before.  And that meant doing many changes to many modules in SE to hard-coded HTML.

That sounds very strange and you shouldn't have had to make any code changes.  Feel like sharing your template and what changes you made, maybe we can figure out what is going on.

Most changes were minor but all message editors did not look alright and I had to make changes.  Found HTML errors in thos tables, by the way, such as unclosed TR tags.

I think you should use an object oriented approach.  This would also allow you to support multiple database types if you have a database class.

We're not going fully OO just to do that. We do have some in there though (our database abstraction layer and our template class).
