But as the only free mySQL provider I've found is Tripod, and as everyone now knows, their php doesn't seem to like Yabbse, so keeps logging us out, so I was wondering if there was someway I could set the Forum up so that the files are stored elsewhere, while I use the tripod database?

If this is possible please can you explain to me how it can be done! Or whether or not theres actually a way to stop boards hosted on Tripod being logged out!

hm.... i say host the files from your own box and use there database... The Only Buggy Part on that is the queries might take forever to show... ive tried this when i didnt have my own server and it worked ok(slow though).. I Would Just Get Some Hosting Company and pay 32.00 month for it.... or just buy a web domain and serve it up yourself.. its not that hard to setup a server

I'm only paying $9.95/mo from dzones.com. Granted, I only get 100MB storage and 5GB bandwidth, but that can be increased for a slightly higher monthly charge. Who are you using that charges $32/mo, and what kind of bandwidth/storage are you getting?
