How can guests use Avatars ???

How can I enable guests to use Avatars

Well how CAN they use them?  Where would their avatar selection be stored?  Since a guest isn't saved in the database (like members are) their selection can't be saved somewhere.

It's supposed to be fun anonymous forum when people would use names of politicians and celebrities - using their faces next to the post would make it so much more funny!!! I have like 200 faces already but can't use them.   They are stored on my website. I know, I don't need that to cure cancer but there's really high demand for that between the members of my forum...

Avatars would have to be not actually Avatars - simply a link to a picture within a catalogue on my website.

So the question should actually be:

Can I add a field somewhere next to the user (guest) name where I could browse for a picture from a predefined catalogue? Maybe it's just a matter of copying the same piece of code that enables choosing the Avatar in the Profile screen.

I suck as a programmer but could try playing around if you anybody gave me a hint....

you have to code a little bit! best would be you make it like Message Icon, no?

write a little code in post.php and then change the avatarpart in display, so if a guest has postet && guestavatar != 0 then avatarimage == guestavatar!

hey and add in table {prefix}message a row where you store this guestavatar! if yu maked it right then in posts registered members can use they own avatar or a "temporary" avatar (this with the celebs or so)!
