Announcement board bug ?

I have a "hidden" board, just accessible for admins and moderators.

When I make this board an anouncementboard, I thought it should only email the users that have access to this board, but is sent an email to al my 1800 members.  

Well it set the record, for sure   , but I think it should only be sent to the admins and moderators, don't you guys think ?!

Is this a "bug", or better : does anybody know how I can change it so it will not send to everybody the next time ?!

is NOT a bug...

Announcements boards with email notifications send the emails to all users, since it supposes are "official" announcements, so all should be aware.


email announcements that only send emails to the one able to access that board is not coded ATM

AFAIK, is the 1st time someone asked for it.

It will be some resources-consuming task to do that

Maybe later if I have time will peek into it, if you don;t want to wait (LOT of work IRL ), maybe post it in mod ideas and check if someone else wants to implement it?

I would love a mod like this,, i have several different members board, where we post upcoming matches, would be nice if they got an email on new topics there  

But the sad thing is that i'm not capabel to make something like this
