What the hell does this do?

And whats a quick way to clear all errors listed in the Error log?

The active log logs users and guests online.  it should clean itself every 15 minutes.

As for the error log, 1.3 has a remove all button.  If you have phpmyadmin you can delete them all quickly as well.
