I just sent an email to my members, and the email was altered somehow so that all single quotes ( ' ) became \' instead. Here's a snippet of the email:

In case you haven\'t read the post, KCDWorks.com is offering a hosting special to all MonsterHunt.org members. The special can be found here: http://www.monsterhunt.org/support/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=33

That only has one instance, but elsewhere in the email were several more. Is there anything that can be changed to have this corrected?

First, try posting a message in your forum with an apostrophe in it.  See if the message saves.  if it does, fine.  if it doesn't, download the apostrophe fix files and replaces the files that come with it.

If the post however DOES work, you may need to add a small line of code before that email goes out.

Posts work just fine with single quotes. News and that email cause the \ to appear, though. What's that line of code?

Right before you send mail (in the sendmail function in Subs.php).

You can add stripslashes on the message before the mail() call.
