Announcement Board email mod???

Im wondering if anyone has done or could do a mod that will make whatever is posted in an announcement board come thru in the email alerting all users.

Currently an announcement just comes thru with the link to the announcement in the forum, however i would like the email to display the announcement instead.

Anyone done a mod liek this or can do one?
