I uploaded the three files; archive.ya, converter.php and install.php to a yabb directory in my cgi-bin.

i have changed the chmod on the install.php to 777 and the other to 666

when i go to execute the install.php it tries to open it in my  microsoft home publishing 2000 and i get an error message.

File C:\windows\Temp\DSP1802.php could not be opened

am i doing something wrong right off of the bat?

i think so...i installed another BB similar to yabb and didn't have any problems with it.  I ran the install safely.

is there something specific that i could be missing that would keep it from running? or make it open like that when i try to run the install?  can u please e-mail me if you get the answer if you can.

Well it's on your system where the error lies.  It looks like it's trying to open the php files with an editor as opposed to a browser....

I'm a little curious how you "chmoded" filies on a windows machine?

On IIS system you don't have to chmod.
