error in english.lng

when I go to the index page, I get the following error at the top of the screen:
Warning: Failed opening 'english.lng' for inclusion (include_path='') in /blah/blahl/blah/index.php on line 37. The fine is in the appropriate directory..just doesn't seem to be able to open it. any ideas?

It was in the source directory. moved it into the directory with the index file, and it works now...except some of the images aren't showing up. Have I somehow misplaced them, or am I meant to supply my own?

Delete them all and then upload new ones but download a new safe mode zip if you have to.

No, I mean I can't find them at all...in any directory. They seem to have flown the coop.

fixed. uploaded the .ya file in ascii instead of binary the first time...doh. Thanks for your help.
