when i try to use the attachment  i get this error  :
An Error Has Occurred!

2: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory
(/home/httpd/vhosts/granddanois.com/httpdocs/s2f/yabbse/Sources/Post.php ln 592)

attachments folder is chmod 777...

any ideas?

Check your phpinfo and see what it says about openbasedir.

The upload setting needs to set to the /usr/home/name/public_html/yabbse/attachments and the attachments url needs to be www.something.com/yabbse/attachments.
