I've seen this done.
Is there any way to add new buttons or side menu buttons to the yabb template.

Example... Menu on left / Yabb on right

I would extremely so appreciate any feedback!

Whay not run frams?  Then you can add what ever you want. Click on my site. I have 3 frams, left, top and main.
Runs fast for a flattext board.

The side meny you can get from dynamic drive here http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/davidmenu.htm

And the frame set  here just add your pages to the frames in a text editor------->

<head>
<title></title>

<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="  ">
<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0">

</head>

<frameset framespacing="0" border="0" rows="118,*" frameborder="0">
  <noframes>
  <body>

  </body>
  </noframes>
  <frame name="banner" scrolling="no" noresize target="main" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" src="Top.htm">
  <frameset cols="147,*">
     <frame name="contents" target="main" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" src="Left.htm">

    <frame name="main" target="_self" src="http://yoursite.com/YaBB/YaBB.pl" scrolling="auto">
  </frameset>
</frameset>
