Ikonboard to YaBB

hi Yabb!
i've started to shift to Ikonboard just before i heard about Yabb..( i was previously using everyon.net)
i thought they're quite the same until i saw the huge difference in freshness, colours, icons, and speed.

Yabb looks great, i bet it feels great to.
 
my question is, am i able to shift to YABB from Ikonboard? with all memebers and hopefully, postings and topics intact?

Currently there is no converter.  Perhaps we can work on a converter, are you using a flat file or mySQL solution from Ikonboard?

this might be a bit of a long way around, but you could convert ikonboard to YaBB 1 gold, and then yabb 1 gold to YaBB SE

There is a converter to Y1G?  All I knew of was a member converter.

i'm not sure.
i think it's mysql. i've not meddle with the database yet.

i think you should, jeff.
there would be tons of people who'd want to shift to yabb.
ikonboard are filled with bugs and roaches.
slow too. and you have so many features.

please please compile a converter.

please inform me if you've did it.
i'd be pleased to be the 1st one!

You think it's mySQL?  Are you running a mySQL database or no?

I may be pursuaded to write a converter from their mySQL to SE but not their flatfile version

I am guessing it's flat file, you'd know if you had mySQL I think.  I also think it just recently came out with mySQL.

I've been using ikonboard for awhile and I know most of people there use the mySQL backend version since it improves the performance of the board.   If you have the tool that would be benificial to many people including me!

You mean iB MDB Platfile -> iB mySQL?
