Mods we need

by scrollable view I guess I mean like a text box with a scroll bar on the side.

OH. Well. That would drive me batty. I guess I don't see the point in having a scrolling text box with 3 feet of forum output in it rather than having a browser with 3 feet of forum output in it. I'd rather have the browser... don't want to have any more scrollbars than absolutely necessary.

If you're really crazy about the idea, though, get out your trusty HTML book and setchyoself up with some FRAMES.

Now that I think about it, if you really want it in a textbox, its even easier than frames. Put this in your template:

<textarea><yabb main></textarea>

It would be utterly pointless to make a mod to do this for you.

ok thanks for that. I put that html in but it didn't show the preview message when I go to reply in a scrollable text box.

perhaps I'm not doing it right.

Ahh, maybe you're talking about having the Reply Page Thread View in a scrollable box, like in UBB or something, not the entire page.

Yeah, you'd have to make a Mod for this. And now that I think maybe I understand what you're asking, I actually wouldn't mind this feature myself.

It seems like it would be relatively easy to do, though... just have to figure out where the HTML begins and ends for the thread view on the reply page, and add those pesky <textarea> tags around it.

Yes thats exactly what I mean. I don't know how UBB looks but phpbb2 does it also.
