It most likely means you did not give the correct login information. You have to fill out the correct username/password/mysql-servername combination.

I can't seem to find install directions either............? I have set up two YaBB Gold boards so far with NP. Wanted to setup the SE version on a different remote site. I have to email customer service to set up a MySQL database and then I can start. Do I just ftp all files into a directory say -forum- . And then ftp to install.php and hit run? I saw the instructions for uploading as far as cmond and all, just didnt see where it said to install to and how to run install once it is uploaded?

Just upload the 3 files into a public dir and run the install.php via your browser, that's it!

Well now I can't find where I found install instructions again............? Went to "Before you Post" and it says upload install.php and converter.php in ASCII, upload archive.ya in binary. Cmod yabse dir to 777. Well in my zip files I found install.php but no converter.php or archive.ya. I am not converting a board this is a clean install, which two files besides install.php do I need to upload? Sorry, maybe someone could post a link to the install instructions in the "Before you post" thread??

It sounds like you uploaded the safe mode isntaller - Edwin was refering to the regular mode-installer which only has 3 files.

Now that you have your stuff uploaded though, you just need to open install.php in your browser.

Downloaded exe file uploaded, installed, all went well untill I tried to edit my profile, got an error and now it says user not valid or something. Will read through the fac and see if I can find what is wrong. By the way Way to go Guys for someone who does'nt know didley this installs easy!

Got it installed, works until I try to modify in admin, then different things go wrong, just unistalled, will stick Regular YaBB for now. Any easy way to clear the info in MySQL Database?

Hey, would one of you possibly be kind enough to install my board also? It would be great   I have ran into a problem trying to get my admin section to load, and no one seems to be able to help. (Check administrationforum for thread)
