members passwords?

how come (as admin) when you go into a members profile and click modify, you can see their password when you view source like in y1g you could?

Uhh....you must be confused...because you can't see their passwords.

Could you explain what you mean better?

on y1g when you modified a member's profile their would be *'s for the users password in the password field, and when you viewed the source of the page you could find what the *'s were for (ie the users' password).  on yabb se the password field has no *'s and you can't see their password on the view source.

That is by design, why risk any possible security hole?  it also adds more privacy for the end user.

but some users forgot their password and some board's email program doesn't work so; they ask admin. to do something for them. I can't really handle a lots of people but some are fine.

So when you click on modify password, change their password for them to password.  Then tell them it has been changed that they should change it.

Why not fix your reminder feature?
