Step One doesnt exist

YaBB SE Version: 1.5.5
PHP Version: 4.2.0 to 4.2.2
MySQL Version: 3.23.x
Server Platform: Windows 98 or ME
Link to Forum: None Yet

Problem Description:
I put the files on my computer in the correct Xitami folders and turn my server on etc. I go to http://[secret]/yabbse/install.php and click Instal and then either get a "Page Not Found" or a "Bad request: probably tried to POST a non-executable URL". Help me please. Thank You!

Make sure all your php files are chmodded to 755 (rwxr-xr-x) and that you've got the correct paths specified in settings.php (this file needs to be chmodded to 777).

how would i go about doing that.
The files I have are install.php and yse155.ya

Please try the safe mode installer.

You may wish to run your server on a more stable server platform than Windows 9x.

Well its on Windows ME, ill try using Safe Mode installer

Windows ME is still 9x.  It is, in my opinion, less stable than Windows 98 even.

ummm...  how im suppose to do safe mode. I dont know where to get the files needed for it at n e way. Someone said since it was on my PC that i cant chmod it. Is that true and will it that be causeing the prob.

still cant get it to work.

Go to the downloads page, and instead of downloading the normal YaBBSE package, download the safe one.

As for chmoding don't worry about that, it will not cause any problems with installing or using YaBBSE.

Windows does not support chmod, it is a linux feature.

 ok, i tried it in safe mode.
Now i get step 3 can not be found (404 page error)
