changing password

Problem Description:
I changed my db password in board administration and with my server (server confirmed change) I get this error
Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'getup@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/getup/HTML/upholstery-forum/index.php on line 50
Access denied for user: 'getup@localhost' (Using password: YES)
I don't use localhost but everything worked before password change.
help please

Obviously the password isn't working.  See Settings.php (in the directory of your forum).
