Problem at Step 1!

YaBB SE Version: 1.5.4
PHP Version: 4.3.2
MySQL Version: 4.0.x
Server Platform: Unix, Linux, or BSD
Link to Forum:

Problem Description:
Hey, im having trouble getting started with installing my YaBBSE.  I have created the new folder, chmodded it 777, i put in the path to the folder, and start the installation, it will install files, the last one being
Wrote /nas03/domains/s/sb.alltoons.co.uk/user/htdocs/board/yabbse/YaBBImages/im_inbox.gif successfully
But there is no button to continue with the installation.
I assumed that there was an error somewhere and that all the files were copied, so i went to install.php?step=2 hoping I could trick the install into working, however i was wrong, after putting in all my database info, it neither created the database tables, nor finnished the installation.  I have tried to alter the settings.php file as has been said before on this forum, however, index.php does not show, just a white screen.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Strange, it worked if i just pressed back, and proceed again, but now i have another problem *sigh*  At step 2, i put in my database info, and i press proceed, this works fine, but yabb does not add/alter/delete or do anything to the database, which doesn't help matters much :)

Make sure Settings.php is chmod'd 777.

Does it give any errors at all?

No, the page is just blank, the installer did not create any tables in my database, and therefore i am assuming it is trying to read data that isnt there, but there are not any errors either.

No, I mean did the installer give you any errors?

After you typed in the database info, I mean.

No, it didnt come up with anything, no confirmation of tables created, or errors that they were not, just a title at the top, and a small coloured area where the errors/confirms would go

It must've timed out.... odd, very odd.

I'd recommend changing servers, this one doesn't appear to be that stable or great.  "If that's not an option, or you'd like to try to get it installed before persuing that...

Please send me your database details (you can change the password before sending..) so I can try to install it.

Thanks for the offer, but I have decided to change hosts, next time i will make sure the hoster includes MySQL in the package so i dont have to use a remote server ;).
