Different images based on Member Group?

Currently, stars are based on post counts.  What I need is a Mod/hack that shows different images based on what membergroup someone belongs in.  I need this for 1.5.4, though, and not SMF, since that's being re-written.

Any takers?

Yes, I did search in Completed Mods, however, the one that comes close is no longer linkable.

so what you want is, that instead of 1 star, there's graphic 1, instead of 2 stars, there's graphic 2, etc?

those are just graphics I improvised for the example, you can use whatever you want, of course

I thought you were asking to replace the stars with some other graphic, but still post based...

I replaced the stars with the group graphic, but I could also place it right after
