Hi,
I have just completed a sucessful install of yabbse.

Before i attempt the converter i have a couple of questions.

Will my old board still be running and fully functional on its current url?

What happens to the mods?
I have membermap on the old board, will i have to reinstall this for everyone to start again?

Once complete, what is the best way to redirect my users to the new se board url?

Thanks for being patient with this newbie.

Yes your old board will still be running, the converter does not alter your old board in any way.

The mods for YaBB are incompatible for YaBBSE and you will have to find/use the YaBBSE mods for your YaBBSE board. There is a membermap mod in the completed mods board so long around in there for it. Your old membermap data will not be convertered so you either have to start it all over or find someone who will convert it for you.

One way would be to use a redirection script written in perl, I can't remember the url off hand but you might be able to find it by searching, or someone might be kind enough to post the code I wrote for it.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the reply Chris.
I have now started the conversion and receive the following messages.
I have double checked the paths and they seem to be ok.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

Make sure those files exist in those locations and that they have read permission.

Yes they are all there within the variables folder.
Chmodd is set to 666 on some and 664 on others, but they all have read permission.
