BoardMod to YaBBPak

Ok, I'm a Mac OS X user.  Forums (and PfaBB) as well as mu client computers all run Mac OS X.  No Windows.  I have a lot of mods I would like to apply to my board, alas, mod writers seem to write their mods in BoardMod rather than as YaBBPaks (silly move in my opinion).

I was wondering if there were any options for me?  I could run Virtual PC and run BoardMod in a Windows enviornment, but in my humble opinion BoardMod is a clumsy program and I would prefer use YaBBPaks.

Does a BoardMod to YaBBPak converter exsist, or is there a way to make the YaBBPak center just read BoardMod files?

Honestly, I don't understand why a mod writer would write anything other than YaBBPaks since everyone can use that, but maybe there is something I am missing.

Thoughts?

It's for windows/linux... but, you should be able to run it in a VirtualPC and run the YaBBpak.

As well, all my mods are released as YaBBpaks if at all possible.

I remember trying to compile Boardmod from the source on my Mac at one point.  Don't remember what issue I ran into.

Well, if it runs on Linux I may be able to get her to run on Mac OS X.  Just need to find someone who knows AppleScript Studio to build a front end, and WHAM, Mac OS X port that allows you to use Boardmod files!  Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for the link!

Not everyone can use YaBBPaks - The Package Manager doesn't work when PHP is in safe-mode, which these days is quite common. Annoying, but true...

I have used it fine on safe mode hosts.
