Where do I change the code to add buttons?

Problem Description:
Hello everyone!

I am only an amateur computer person and so I am totally at a loss as to how to do the following (my friend helped me out before but he no longer can help me with the coding of my site).

I want to add some buttons to my menubar next to the other ones (i.e. home, help, search, etc)  that link to my frontpage and some other pages that are not on my forum.  I know how to create the button gif's (at for instance buttongenerator.org), and I know what folder to drop the finished button gif's into, but I do not know what file I need to change the code in, or even how to change the code, in order to make the button gif's appear in the menu bar and then link to the pages I want.

Can anyone offer some advice?

Well, if you want the buttons after the other menu buttons you can very easily do it by editing your template. Go to Admin Panel => Edit Your Forum Template. In there, find <yabb menu>. Right after that, add your button link/image. Like this:<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com"><img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/yabbsedir/YaBBImages/yourimage.gif" border="0"></a>.

If you want to add the buttons somewhere inbetween the other buttons, post back. It's a bit more involved...
