Password protect individual categories or forums

Okay, this is a recommendation for the ability to password protect a single forum.  This is how it works.

Every forum has a password field in the Administrative area.  If the password field is empty, then you don't need a password in order to view/post in that forum.

If a password is supplied, then someone will need to enter in a password (could be session saved or stored in the cookie) in order to be able to view/post in that forum.

"If you don't want people to see that forum, then make it a private one, accessible via group permissions."

Kind of hard when access to the member's area is handled by an external billing company.  Member's access is all automated via .htaccess, the forums aren't.  My client can change his password once a month and just post the password on the member's section.  It's quicker and easier for him to do that, then to manually figure out who

I would LOVE to have a mod for this, and would consider "rewarding" the Mod creator with a nice little thank you.
