Like on emails where you get notified when someone reads the instant message you've sent.

So a box at the bottom

Notify when read

Then if you tick that box when the receiver reads the IM you get a message saying

Your instant message sent to *username* on *date* was read on *date*.

Why not just look in your sent box and if the envelope is open then the recepient has read it...

James, you must have installed a mod because the YaBBSE release does not contain PM tracking.

Someone should make this mod for YaBB SE... I'm pretty sure you can do this with Invision board...
