Sorry, but I have completly forgotten how to convert the php to an ascii file. and what type of a file an ascii is. I am sorry but I have not used one in while. Thanks for the help!!!!

Don't worry.  Just upload it....  I recommend SmartFTP... www.smartftp.com.  You won't have to worry about a thing .

actually i did that but I just figured out what was wrong it seems as though every time I click on or type in the file name it actully opens up in Dreamweaver as opposed to running in a web browser

It won't 'run' on your own computer unless you're running a web server with PHP (+ MySQL if the file requires it) and open it through your browser with a path like http://127.0.0.1/blah/myfile.php. If you just click on it or try to open it by typing/browsing to a path like C:\blah\myfile.php it'll just open with whatever program you've got the .php extension associated with!
