Once again, can't stay logged on (sigh)

  Okay, been struggling with this for a month now.  I seem to have everything fine as version 1.50 but anytime I try to upgrade to 1.51 or 1.52 for that matter, things will upgrade properly but I can't never stay logged in.  I will log on and it welcomes me and the second I click anything, I'd be logged off again.  I have read many messages and have discussed this before but if anyone has any sure way of fixing this, then great.  I was told I may need version 4.1 rather than 4.06 of php but was also told it doesn't matter.
 So if anyone has had the same problem and has actually fixed it instead of possible suggestions (which all didn't work), that would be greatly appreciated.
 On a side note, in case this doesn't work and after a month, I highly doubt it can be fixed, can I get a list of mods that will work for version 1.50 since I can't get mine to 1.51 to make the 1.51 mods work.  I was mainly looking for an avatar upload, time online/last on, bio mod, and possible an extra field after location for country (or country flag).  All needed to work with version 1.50 of course since I've been trying to get 1.51 working for a month on different and seperate installs/upgrades.   Thanks again.
