moderator to send email to member group?

I have a moderator of a particular board where members of a group mainly post.

It would be nice to give the moderator the ability to either send email to those only on that group or dedicate an announcement board that is only mailed to a specified group.

Any mods like this alraeady written?

this would be a great mod, for me, if all my members could do this, i run a guild site board, and people like to send messages to there guilds etc...

maybe this would work, goto the file where the admin has that option, then add a new topic in the im spot that says "mass pm/email" and then have all that stuff there just like the admin, Except have a radio button instead of a checkbox.

a moderator doesn't belong to any membergroup, it might be better to make this for global mods (can be made as an extension of global mod center mod)

sounds good too.  :)   my main issue is to allow say in this case - a global mod to email a particular group - not all the members of the board.
