Calendar "this week" mod

I plan on using the calendar to list all concerts and events around my city (Detroit) from an MySQL-inserted database file.  This can make the month view quite large and messy.

Can someone help me mod the Calendar.php to show only the current week events with the buttons to scroll through the following and preceeding weeks?

I think another good idea would be user-selectable views.  That way, they can choose from daily, weekly, monthly and text list views.
