Whenever I install a version of YaBB SE the forum index
shows as a bunch of weird characters and I installed
using safe mode, and it still isn't working. I
installed it on http://forums.ne0matrix.com/ and
whenever AOL, or Netscape Visit the page they get a
bunch of weird characters, and when IE visits the page
they get a download. The download still contains the
werid characters.

The forums and everything display as errors (mySQL
result resource is invalid) when I havent inserted the
SQL queries but once I do I get the Weird Characters.
(I'm currently running YaBB SE 1.5.1, the same problem
was evident in YaBB SE 1.5.0 from a previous installation.

Php is installed correctly (I think), because I user doublehost ( http://www.doublehost.net ) and I think they would have configured php correctly

EDIT : I got some support and they said dont install in in safe mode so when I did I get the following errors

Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 99 is not allowed to access /home/ne0matri/public_html/forums owned by uid 32009 in /home/ne0matri/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs.php on line 293

Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 99 is not allowed to access /home/ne0matri/public_html/forums owned by uid 32009 in /home/ne0matri/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs.php on line 293

2: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 99 is not allowed to access /home/ne0matri/public_html/forums owned by uid 32009
(/home/ne0matri/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs.php ln 293)

Then support redirected me back to you to see if you could solve the error.

This:

SAFE MODE Restriction in effect

Means you must use the safe mode installer.

May I see a phpinfo file?
