Losing the contents of the Message-form.

Another problem. Suppose you're writing a reply or a new message, but you accidentally go to another page, or press the "Back"-button in IE. When pressing the "Forward"-button, or in any way go back to the page where you were entering your message, you'll discoved that all changes are lost.

How come?

(I'm talking about version yabbse 1.4.1.)

In this forum I can push the Forward and Back buttons over and over again, but the message I'm entering doesn't disappear. Is it a yabsse-thing? Or webserver-related?

It was already selected...

It also says: "This option will compress output to lower bandwidth consumption, but it requires zlib to be installed."

According to the forum-admin, the server he uses has zlib enabled. How can we check this?

Anyway, I also discovered that this problem does not occur when using Mozilla.

Any ideas?

It looks like it is also an Internet Explorer-thingy.

People using Mozilla don't have this problem. Some people using XP and IE6.0 don't have this problem. At the moment, I'm using a w2k-machine, no problem, I can go back and forward without losing the message I'm entering. At home, I've got a XP-machine, and I'll lose my message when going back and forward...

Check the default size of your Temporary Internet Files in IE. If it's too small, it might dump the page out of the cache before you get back to it. Mine's around 350MB and I don't see that problem.

Good luck, MM

Thanks, but that didn't make any difference.

Note that on this forum, I can go back and forward without losing my freshly entered message. I only have problems on a specific yabbse 1.4.1 forum (and some other people too)...
