oh, just disable the following setting in your forum settings

Code Select Expand

Enable Members to Select Profile Avatars?
if your members can't select an avatar and you don't give them any.
i don't think any wil be shown

No what they want is so that the user can disable avatars showing for them so all users that don't select the option to disable avatars will see them

tdodnz, I don't wish to upset you, I think its awesome that you're so willing and eager to make all these great mods for people; but just so you know, a lot of modders get offended when someone just decides to update or change their mod without their permission. I have no idea whether sylvester falls into this category or not, I'm just saying that anytime you want to update an existing mod it is polite to take it up with the original author to make sure they don't mind first.

Aside from that though, keep up the great work!
