The best kind of feedback?

Perhaps I should have waited another couple of days to say this, but I really couldn't wait...

I arrived here almost exactly a year ago looking for a standards-compliant bulletin board. The replies I received from Jeff, Alex, Zef and Tim encouraged me to stay (I started that topic as a guest and finished it as a member). I ditched my existing web host in favour of a better one (both cheaper and more reliable) to be able to run YaBB SE. Quite recently I started learning PHP for my own purposes because YaBB SE had led me to it. Now I hang out here because I like it and I'd keep coming back even if bulletin boards didn't exist (OK, so that might be difficult, but you know what I mean?).

Hope this strikes a chord with someone. Every time I come back to the YaBB SE community, I feel like I'm coming home! :)

:'( brings a tear to my eye ;)

Kidding, but it's nice to actually develop the community here and "meet" some really great people.

Also, you should like that we're moving towards xHTML compliancy (well transitional).

I'll be happy when there aren't any font tags left. :)
But 1.5 is a step in the right direction.

Sometime I'll get round to making my whole site XHTML Strict, but most of it's been valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional for nearly two years, which is more forward-looking than many! ;)

Me too! Peter, YaBB and YaBB SE have been the best things to ever happen to me on the Internet! It's motivated me to learn Perl at first and now PHP and MySQL the sense of community and family here have always been the greatest even when I have asked stupid questions that would get you shunned from other communities, everyone is more then happy to try and help each other to a point that makes you work just enough that you have to do some of the "Thinking" and in turn Learn.

Hehe true, for me the actual script has a lot of faults, mostly asthetic, but the community is great!

Ah yes, I would have to agree with Peter in that it feels like comeing 'home' when coming to talk on this community. Although I have only been a member of the community for a short while it still feels that way because I have been using YaBB SE for a long time.

I would have to say YaBB SE has had that some affect on me too. Thanks guys! YaBB SE rocks and will continue to rock! (posible YaBB SE slogan, I think so :P)
