sometimes the YaBB-SE page doesn't load

I have YaBB-SE installed on my site (in a hidden development directory right now), and I link to it from my main page. Sometimes clicking the link results in a blank page. If I then press Ctrl+F5 to refresh, the board will appear. This happens intermittantly, and some of the other people testing my board have experienced this, too. It doesn't happen with any other page on my site. Any idea what could be wrong?
