Attachment Display as thumbnail in the post.

I think it wud be a good idea to have this mod.

In the post the uploaded image (attachment) be displayed as a low resolution thumbnail with a smaller size so that the ppl on dialup accounts have a chance to view the image before they download it. It shud save allot on their time and bandwidth, and give them a chance to review the image before they click on the image which offcourse would open in a new window.

I would surely appreciate all your help in this. I think this would make it a great mod.

P.S. for more understanding. how it works:

Images posted as attachments to the post are generated as thumbnails and shown in the post. When you click on the thumbnail, it opens in a new window with the full uploaded image size and dimensions.
 Hope it is clear as to what is intended.

It is a good idea but unfortunatly not everybody has the needed libraries (or permissions) on their servers to do on-the-fly image manipulations that would be required to make such a thumbnail out of the uploaded image.

Yeah its a great idea, many ppl have GD libraries that come default on their hosts. I guess those can be used, you dont have to have netpbm or Imagemagick, do you?
I think this wud be a very valuable mod and having this wud make YABBSE move up a notch from the others. people using gallery mod, are also using this kind of a thing, i guess.
I m not a php programmer but if ppl can help me, i m willing to give this a try. Would appreciate all the help we can get to make this mod.
