Block Guest Access to Member's Profile

v1.4.1.  Currently, guests are able to access the profile of the latest member by clicking on the "Latest Member"s user name in YaBBSE Stats on the main page and by clicking on [More Stats] and clicking on the "Latest Member"s user name.

Not a good feature, IMHO.  The YaBBSE Development Team "Powers to Be" do not consider this a design bug.  ???  If not a bug, then how about a mod that allows an opt out on this feasture.  ::)

It goes beyond that.  Assuming your board is browsable by a guest, they can click on any member's name in the posts and get the profile, too.  Basically here is no restriction for guests viewing user profiles... very stupid "feature" indeed.

Brilliant, Jack.  I've installed it and it does exactly what it should have done - originally.  In spite of what the YaBBSE Development Team "Powers to Be" say, I contend it is a bug that they should have recognized. Tunnel vision - perhaps.

It is desgined that way. Not tunnel vision. Almost everyboard out on the market also does it the same way as here, having the option would be great though. Good Job, Jack...

feature or bug?... not my call.  ;)  I do think it is very strange though that out of the box, guests can not view the members list from the index page yet they can view the member profiles from any given post.  It just strikes me as inconsistant.

More choices are better.  Things that totally annoy one user may be a god send to another.

guest still can get most of the profile entries in the side bar of each user's post
