I have like 40 IM's in my box, and I want to delete all of them but 3 or so.  It would be super-handy to have the ability to click checkboxes next to the ones I want to delete and to just hit delete once.

A step in the right direction, which might be way easier, would be if it at least didn't always go back to the top when you deleted a message at the bottom of the IM page.
